Middlesbrough College We have new Year 11 study packs coming out in the middle of May for each of our vocational courses and for each A Level programme. We will share these with your school so you can send them on to students and we will send them directly to every Year 11 pupil who has applied to the College. We know these will give students valuable information on their programme and will contain a range of tasks and exercises that will help confirm they are on the right programme and get them ready to start the course in September. We are able to offer all Year 11 students a one to one careers guidance appointment online with one of our trained Careers Guidance Advisors if any student is still unsure about their post 16 options. Please email careers@mbro.ac.uk to book an appointment, or pass on to students who can book on themselves. Our Schools Team and our Admissions Team our currently calling all of our applicants and catching up with them to see if there is any additional support or help we can offer them and are available weekly on our live chat facility on our website as follows: Admissions – Monday 2-3pm Schools Team Tuesday 11am – 12 noon & 2pm – 3pm There is no need for an appointment, pupils can just go on to live chat on the home page of our website mbro.ac.uk. And finally we have a week of Virtual Open Events from 4th – 7th May where pupils, parents and guardians can have a confidential chat with subject tutors, find out more about travel to college, student benefits, what qualifications they need for courses. We would be delighted if you could share this information for us and encourage interested students to sign up here. We are working on our plans for enrolment in the summer and for our new term in September and hope to be able to share soon how we see timetabling which blends online learning and socially distancing learning in the college taking place. If there is anything we can do to support you and your school further, don’t hesitate to ask us. Kindest Regards Andrea Waller- Amos Head of Admissions
